Greta earned her Master of Music from The Boston Conservatory under the instruction of Mary Saunders.  Other influential teachers include Mildred Allen, Janet Alcorn, Jayne West and Jeanie Lovetri. She currently studies with Micheal Hanely in Boston.

A native of Birmingham, Alabama, Greta received her Bachelor of Arts in Vocal Performance from Birmingham-Southern College where she studied with Mildred Allen and Janet Alcorn.  She spent a year studying abroad in Rome, Italy where she rode the bus an hour each way to take voice lessons 2 or 3 times a week.  Falling in love with music at the feet of her grandmother’s piano, at an age she can’t even remember, Greta knew that she would be a performer.  Watching an episode of the Bugs Bunny Show (“What’s Opera, Doc?) with her father, a touring production of Bizet's Carmen that her mother insisted she attend and a late night viewing of “Singing in the Rain” on AMC, and there was no turning back.

In addition to performing, Ms. DiGiorgio is passionate about academia and an advocate for arts education.  She holds the position as the Administrative Director of Jazz Studies and Contemporary Improvisation at the New England Conservatory of Music has produced over 100 concerts in Boston and New York City and worked along side legendary jazz artists such as Dave Holland, Wayne Shorter, Lee Konitz, Jason Moran, Fred Hersch and Elvis Costello to name a few.  She is a founding member of Jazz Lab, New England Conservatory’s first summer jazz program.

Ms. DiGiorgio currently lives in Boston, Massachusetts where she gratefully works and performs in a rich artistic community.
